Washington, DC

The Capitol.

At the legislative office buildings.

Doorways and flags at the offices.

The Washington Monument. There is a reflecting pool, dry for the winter but you can see some of it.

The Vietnam War Memorial - The Wall. A place to reflect.

The Vietnam War Memorial: The Patrol sculpture.

The World War II Memorial: A ring of wreaths, and special places for the Pacific and Atlantic war areas. Never at war unbidden, never when unattacked.

The Lincoln Memorial.

Martin Luther's speech at the Lincoln Memorial - I have a dream.

Lincoln's speech at Gettysburg - "Four score and seven years ago...."

The Korean War memorial - with many reflections. There is the big Patrol sculpture. There are etched outlines and figures of the people who died. And then you see yourself, a living person, also reflected there.

The White House. At its distance. Nothing reflected.
